Why did Jesus call out to the dead? What was His purpose?
 
They saw death as:

1. Dark – John 8:12 – I am the light of the world.
2. Obstacle – Romans 8:35 – Who will separate us from the love of Christ?
3. Only saw negative – Mark 11:22 – have faith in God.

 
To whom did Jesus call out to?

1. Lazarus
2. Widow’s son – Luke 7:14
3. The daughter – Mark 5:41
4. Sinner’s – Isaiah 9:2
5. Death’s door – John 10:9
6. Disciples – Matthew 4:19
7. All people – Matthew 11:28

 
The devil cannot defeat:

1. The Power of God
2. The Glory of God
3. The Mercy of God
4. The Love of God
5. The Grace of God

 
What voice does Jesus need to use?

1. Loud
2. Soft
3. Whisper

1. WHO – is dead?
2. WHAT – causes death?
3. WHEN – did death occur?
4. WHERE – did death occur?
5. WHY – are/were we dead?

 
In the Garden, Jesus called unto the Father, why?
 
Have you heard Jesus calling?

• Maybe you did not recognize His voice.
• Maybe you did not want to hear.
• Maybe you are trying to avoid Him – conviction.
• Answer the call to salvation.
• Answer the call to sanctification.
• Answer the call to regeneration.
• Maybe someone needs to call Him – Acts 2:21.
